Barangay Tangos

Damayan  is one project one Barangay Tangos Baliuag Bulacan that was organized by Captain Bernard Gonzales.  From a Php30 contribution fees from each of 820 families in the Barangay, a neighbor who loses a loved one is assured that the dead relative would be given a coffin and a decent wake. The family left behind would receive financial assistance, and educational  care of the barangay-run funeral parlor and the Damayan sa Barangay Tangos Inc. (DBTI), a group composed of community members.
Bernard Gonzales, Tangos barangay captain, said when he assumed leadership of the Barangay in 2003, he received a steady stream of village mates asking money to bury their kin.
To avoid dependence on doleouts, he and other village leaders and community members sat down and agreed to form the DBTI. He said with the DBTI, families in his village would not worry where to get the money to buy coffin and sustain the wake. In 2007 they stablished their own Funeral that was owned by their organization

Barangay South Crembo

Barangay South Crambo Commented on his project at Facebook. The advantage of this project was totally Zero Crime. But it need a lot of budget to be well done. Pero kung itoy mapapatupad this is the only i`ve known Barangay here in the Philippines that was awake 24 hours for their operation. Please support their project for Anti Zero Crime.

Capt Richie Rodriguez posted in Facebook said:

South Cembo, Ipagmalaki Mo!"

City Of Antipolo

Believing in the importance of education as the great equalizer, Mayor Nilo Leyble leads the inauguration of a four (4) storey building with sixteen (16) rooms and two(2) Teachers Lounge in Dalig with Punong Barangay Loni Leyva and the principal of San Jose National High School Adelina Cruzada. Under his 9-point agenda, NILO CARES, the Local Chief Executive prioritizes his government’s investment in education especially for the youth as the youth in growing up still have time to develop the principles of life, make career decisions and begin the pursuit of one’s goal. Recognizing that a good education led to his success, Mayor Nilo shares his thoughts with the young students, parents, teachers and other guests during the ribbon cutting ceremony. He believes that education in society prepares youngsters for adulthood so that they may form the next generation of leaders. Acquired by the City Government as part of the school acceleration program, the almost 3,000 squre meter lot formerly called Badjao Village stands as a legacy to the continous success of the NILO CARES program for education. The construction of the new school building is also in partnership and coordination with the Department of Education Division of Antipolo to further boost the quality of education in the city. The local government pays serious attention to education and supports it economically and morally.
